Celebrating Success: Mother-Daughter Duos Graduate from Step2 Program

StepUp Durham's Step2 program recently celebrated a unique milestone with the graduation of not one but two mother-daughter duos. Among them were Ernestyna and Patricia, who shared their inspiring journey of long-term engagement with StepUp Durham.

Ernestyna found the economic classes in Step2 to be a valuable refresher in financial literacy, equipping her with the knowledge to help organize little pieces of her responsibilities and priorities. The skills she acquired during her long-term engagement with StepUp have empowered her to welcome new opportunities and growth.

Patricia is also a proud former participant in StepUp Kidz, our Step2 children's program, and now as an adult has helped with the children during special events. Patricia has a passion for photography and has been able to hone her skills by snapping photos at some of our Step2 events. We can't wait to see her grow in this endeavor. She has formed strong connections and meaningful relationships through her involvement in StepUp.

Success at StepUp is about more than just landing a job. Long-term engagement in the Step2 program helps participants delve into personal development, financial education, career growth, and leadership skills. The skills acquired equip participants to thrive in their careers, achieve their financial goals, and realize their personal aspirations. Participants also build strong connections with StepUp staff, volunteers, and their cohort, fostering a supportive community.

Long-term engagement with StepUp helps participants meet their full potential in all aspects of life. Congratulations to all our graduates for their dedication and hard work!
